6th February - Bank Maintenance - On the Eastern half of the lake
Notices have appeared around the Eastern half of the lake declaring that bank improvements will be in operation between the 24th January and the 31st March. At the time of writing the Eastern half of the lake has been drained...
Update 7/2: The Parks department at Southend Borough Council have confirmed that there are no current plans to drain the Western end of the lake, and are in fact trying to maintain the water level there.
They had originally hoped to be able to carry out more major repairs at the Western end but they were limited by a lack of funding, instead they may make minor repairs to the bank.
